I think my intrigue with birth and babies began as a young girl, watching TLC’s A Baby Story and playing pretend birth with my dolls. This divinely designed process has fascinated me for a long time. Being a mother has long been my dream. Professionally, I have worked in MU's Children’s Hospital as a nurse with Pediatrics since 2020. Being a Peds nurse has given me the privilege to assist lots of babies and moms with breastfeeding. I am also cross-trained in postpartum care, and have cared for NICU babies on many shifts. My admiration for breastfeeding has grown so much with my time as a nurse, but it has truly blossomed with breastfeeding my own babies. I love breastfeeding. I am grateful that I can sneak off to a quiet corner to nurse on busy days. It is a welcomed opportunity to slow down and memorize my babies' tiny faces. I am proud to give them the amazing advantages of breastfeeding, while appreciating the lifelong benefits it gives to my body! For me, breastfeeding is one of the many joys of motherhood. I feel called to help as many women as possible experience joyful breastfeeding.
